The Marina At Lake Petit

The Marina has pontoon boats, paddle boards, kayaks and jon boats available for rent. There are also a variety of other offerings at the Marina Shack including: fishing permits, fishing tackle, bait, and rental rods & reels. You can also find Big Canoe merchandise, sodas, beer and wine. Electric-powered pontoon boat and jon boat rentals are available by the hour at the Lake Petit Marina.

The Golf Club At Big Canoe

Big Canoe offers 27 Holes of Golfing for all levels of experience, brokern down into three 9-Hole Courses: The Creek, Choctaw and Cherokee Courses. The Golf Pro Shop is on the lower level of The Clubhouse at Lake Sconti and is fully stocked with the latest equipment, name- brand clothing and performance gear. Individual and group lessons are available year-round through the Big Canoe golf professional staff. The Golf Pro Shop has rental sets of clubs available. Call the Golf Pro Shop to book a tee time up to four days in advance.

The original Creek Course was designed by Joe Lee and opened for play in 1972. With its picturesque holes fronting Lake Sconti and new green and tee complexes renovated by Bill Bergin in 2021, the Creek Course is fun and challenging for all skill levels.

The Choctaw Course is the second nine holes of the original course. Routed on low land along a meandering stream, Choctaw offers ample opportunity for birdies, thanks to renovation work to greens, tees and bunkers by Bill Boswell.

Designed by Rocky Roquemore and added as the third nine in 1992, Cherokee is target golf at its finest. Elevation changes of nearly 200 ft make for many memorable shots, but players will be confounded with wayward tee shots – accuracy is paramount on this nine.

The Beach Club At Lake Disharoon

The Beach Club at Lake Disharoon is comprised of a free-form, saline system, zero-entry swimming pool, roped off swimming section in the Lake, as well as a 300-yard, sandy beach front on Lake Disharoon. Features include beach volleyball, paddle boats, canoes, kayaks, paddle boards, bathrooms with changing areas, certified lifeguards, access to hiking trails and the famous 200-foot rock slide. But best of all, Vagabond Guests are issued with 2 Free Beach Club Acquatic Passes Per Chalet Per Day of their stay!

Wildcat Recreational Pool & Splash Pad

Big Canoe’s Wildcat Recreation Center consists of a 75-foot lap pool, as well as a kiddie pool with zero-entry and water play features, covered pavilion with lights, fans and a fireplace, bathrooms with changing areas and showers, a children’s playground, three bocce courts, a basketball court and a soccer field.

Wellness Center

The Big Canoe Wellness Center offers a 13,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility featuring premier exercise equipment, 75-foot heated lap pool, whirlpool, sauna, racquetball/squash court, physical therapy services, massage therapy, personal trainers, apparel shop, community computer and free WiFi.

Trails & Parks

Big Canoe is set in an area recognized by Georgia Audubon as a nature preserve, with parks, recreational areas and 25 miles of hiking trails. Ranging from broad, paved trails to forest footpaths, the trails meander among trees, streams, fern groves, meadows and the green spaces of Big Canoe. When it comes to large-scale celebrations in Big Canoe, Playfield Park has often filled the role of the community’s central gathering place.

Vagabond Villas At Big Canoe

Our Vagabond Resort is located on the hillside, with Lake or Mountain views. Each Villas is a freestanding, independant home featuring 2 Spacious Bedrooms with King or Queen Sized Beds, 2 Full Bathrooms, a Loft Area with an additional 2 Single Beds, plus a pull-out Queen Sleeper Couch - hence sleeping a maximum of 8. The Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you'll need in a home-from-home vacation pad, a spacious Dining Area and a spacious Family Room complete with Fireplace and flat screen TV.
